New replaced iPhone faulty on day one

My iPhone 4S is still under guarantee, bought on contract aug 2012, and the battery over heated with warning not to use it. I took it to Vodacom green point, they sent it to repair centre in Jhb and eventually on tues (5 march) I received a brand new iPhone 4S as mine couldn't be fixed. However on tues night the wifi stopped working, the button is greyed out so it won't go on at all. The new phone they gave me is defective!! Unacceptable. I return to Vodacom green point on wed and after a very long wait I tell my story but am told they are offline and will phone me. I also phoned the repair centre in Jhb who said I can get a new phone via 48 hour courier which I told green point. Today I had to phone in 3 times only to be told they are still waiting on IT to link the serial no of the phone.By the end of business today this has still not been done and I am without wifi still. I was told courier doesn't work on a weekend so if they process this tomorrow will only get new phone on tues - a week after the problem occurred! Is Vodacom going to pay for my 3G data used due to their delays? How is this my problem or fault? How can they give me a dud replacement phone then make me wait?
