Towards the end of May 2013 I upgraded one of my Data Contract for the new USB LTE Modem and purchased a new LTE Sim card. I set this up and the modem work as a hsdpa modem would not connect on LSE. I called 808 and was told that LSE would only work when the new contract became active in the middle of June. I accepted this.
I then got a call from the store to say I must return the modem as they had been recalled by MTN and that it would be replaced. I returned the modem and was given the same type of modem as a replacement.
When I got back to the office I tried the modem and it would not connect to the network.
I took the modem back and it was replaced but had the same problem x 3
Its now 2 months later, 4 modems replaced, 20 hours billable time wasted and I have lost count of the calls to unhelpful operators, supervisors and managers at 808 who promise to call back with a solution or that a superior will call back.
