I recently received a final demand letter on behalf of Cell C requesting for payment of approximately R7 500.00 in respect of a contract taken out. I called Cell C and advised them that I never had such a contract with them. I was advised to get an affidavit done at the police station, which I accordingly complied with. On calling Cell C I did advise them that this matter required urgent attention and also requested for all the information that they had on hand in order for me to understand how this happened. Cell C has not been in a position to advise me at the very least where this contract was entered into, RICA documents, banking details of which was debited, where monthly statements were posted to and/or or any other relevant detail in this regard. I have been making numerous attempts to contact them with no success.
