In November I applied for a Cell C contract. The phone was not available and I cancelled the application for the contract. I received an e-mail from Lerato Molatudi, who was the person we were dealing with, to confirm tha cancellation on Dec 3rd at 3;11 pm.
On the 12th December 2013 Cell C deducted R141.94 from my bank account. After 20 phone calls I laid a charge at Norwood police station.
Nothing happened. After a further 3 phone calls I was told to go back to the police station and make an affidavit to prove that I never received a phone or opened the contract. I was advised by the police not to do this as they are the guilty party.
Today a further R539 has been deducted from my account. According to Cell C they will continue to deduct money until I get an affidavit!
