Migrating from MTN to Vodacom

Due to new employment I migrated my cell number from MTN to Vodacom - this was in May,
Number was activated by Vodacom, all working fine.
The problem is that calls & messages still comes through on my old MTN phone. I can't take the MTN sim out of that phone, as I don't want to miss important calls.
I went to MTN in Tyger Valley, they confirmed that the number/line was cancelled on their side, I should take it up with Vodacom.
Vodacom in Tyger Valley said that it is a MTN migration problem and I have to go back to them!
I'm really fed up of this, as I constantly have to carry 2 phones with me.
Can somebody please take responsibility and sort this out.
