MTN had a system problem on the 10th of July and I believe by mistake they added a new contract (TOP UP 400) on my account, the following day (11 July) called their call centre to enquire about the sms sent regarding an ''payment details updated'' I was told about the system/network error and not worry as my account was not tempered with. I got the shock when I received a statement on the 15th of July it reflected a number that I don't know, upon investigation the contract was opened on the 11th of July and I have never opened that contract and I never went to any MTN service provider on the day.
I would like MTN to remove the cell phone no on my account and not debit the account because i cannot afford it and they need to investigate this for a possible . i cannot get clarity at their call on what to do to rectify this situation.
can somebody from MTN please get in touch so that we can sort this out.
