I applied for an upgrade to my contract and asked the consultant for a Top Up on the S3. I also requested a change from Vodacom Cell C. The contact was to be as follows: Top up 100 with 100 smses, R100 airtime, 100MB data plus an additional 300MB data for the 1st three months and a free car charger.
The problems started from the word go as I did not get the data, smses, charger etc that I was promised. I was put on the wrong plan and I had crossed lines and periods of no service-getting a 'not on network' error' I went to Altech probably 2-3 times a week, for over two month trying to have it sorted and each time, was told that they will log a call. I had endless problems. Nothing was sorted and I returned the phone and cancelled the upgrade contract. The other two lines that I had with Altech were also disconnected and I paid the subscription. I queried this and was advised that it would be sorted out. I am also supposed to be in credit with Altech but get called for money owing at least twice a week. I was promised that the Regional manager would sort this out and contact me but it is now 6 weeks later and I am still waiting. I have never seen such poor service in my life.
