On the 24th June, I was mugged and my cellphone was. Two weeks later, I tried to get a sim swap from Mtn but the agents I dealt with from the callcentre were really unhelpful with a bad attitude. Ultimately, I went to a mtn kiosk in Cavendish, Claremont where they explained that it would be impossible to have a sim swap as the number is still active. Apparently, the were using my phone as theirs making it difficult for me to respond correctly to the questions required.
Subsequently, I contacted MTN vial email and a lovely person responded to my qeury to submit and affidavit and a copy of ID so that they can process the sim swap. I did that via email, again this person responded in realtime that the email I had utilised cannot open attachments; therefore I should sent it to an alternate one. I complied and Amiena processed my query within few seconds. Now I have my number back. Thank you Amiena :) :)
