I took out a contract with MTN in November 2012, within 7 days I returned the phone as I was not happy with the added charges that came along with the phone. In November 2012, December 2012 and January 2013 I was debited R200 for the amount of the monthly instalments even though I did not have the phone and to my knowledge, the contract had been cancelled. I had phoned numerous times only to be told the contract had not been cancelled but therefore would be. I cancelled the direct debit in February 2013. I have since sent through numerous complaints to MTN and HelloPeter.com without any resolution. Today (10.07.2013) I received a FINAL NOTICE for the amount of R4887 to be paid to MTN before the 19th July or else there would be legal action taken against me. I have contacted MTN who assure me that they will retract the amount from my name and I have contacted VVM Debt Collectors aswell as Transunion Credit Bureau.. all supporting documents have been mailed through to the above people. I'm irritated and frustrated that MTN has now had my name black listed due to their own lack of customer service! Please help as this is unacceptable. MTN are the ones who owe me R600
