POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE/REPAIRS

Firstly a little history on the situation.. The first blackberry that i recieved had a faulty speaker which went in for repairs and they gave me a refurbished phone. Four months down the line, the phone jumps and i notice a spot of ink on the screen. I booked my phone in to the Westville branch on the 21/12/2012 for repairs and vodacom did not even have the courtesy to call back to let me know the status of the phone. I made numerous follow ups, and the repairman from Pietmarizburg advised that the cost amounts to R1800, he then advised he would do a second assessement, which resulted in the same outcome at the same cost however also mentioned that he could repair the phone for R360 with no guarantee.

How can i pay R1800 to fix a refurbished phone, and why wasnt my own phone returned to me in the first place, i would have no problem paying for the repairs had it been on my original phone.
And secondly the service was very poor and repairman was very unprofessional with regards to the costing of the phone.
