My mother bought a base set at OK furniture in Uitenhage mall in 20 June 2023 in cash its Restonic Tanzania on the day of delivery I was at work and the next day when I removed the plastic the mattress was torn I was told because I did not use the store transport they were not going to exchange the mattress. I phoned the store may times with no response the I contacted Restonic and this was their response

“Hi Vuyani,

This is the second complaint within a week we receive from your store whereby customers are complaining about damages on the corners of the product.

This does not look like stitching pulling loose but rather mishandling the product.

Products are checked at the following collection points:

• Restonic manufacturing
• Restonic dispatch
• OK Furniture DC
• OK Furniture dispatch
• (Customer Collection)
• Customer residence

With so many checkpoints, do you think that the attached could not have been picked up?

If the store/customer signed that “product is received in good order” then Restonic cannot be held accountable.

As stated in my email attached whereby we assisted previously as a sign of good faith.
We will unfortunately not be able to do that again.

Authorization will not be given for this exchange.”

the base set started to make a noise in September I reported to the store I was given restonic What app number which I sent all the pictures and videos and they agree to exchange the base set but a payment of R165 for warranty which was done with reference JT2775 29 September since then I have not receive the base. The store consultant Bandile said i must wait 6 weeks after the payment but still nothing up until today. on the 22 December 2023 I contacted the store spoke with the store manager and he promised me that the stock controller will contact me but up until today no response the service is very bad I am very disappointed with
