I recently moved to Afrihost (less than a month ago) for ADSL after hearing very good things about them from friends. So far, its been a series of bad experiences.
After choosing an Afrihost data plan, I found that my internet was really slow and intermittent. When I called them they told me to speak to Telkom (fair enough Telkom was my line provider). I then totally lost connection and after 4 phone calls I was told that they having authentication issues (was without net for 12 hours).
Tired of the issues I decided to move my line over to Afrihost as well, as I was still having the intermittent and slow connection issues (hoping Afrihost would be able to sort out this out after moving my line to them). After arranging this with them, I then found that instead of moving my 2mbps line, they have downgraded me to 1mbps. Disappointed, I called the call centre and they told me I have to wait 48 hours to upgrade my line. I basically had to drag an apology out of their representative.
After all I heard I am REALLY DISAPPOINTED in the service I have received from the company thus far.
