Tried for MONTHS to get Telkom to activate ADSL on my line, they started billing me for internet without even activating ADSL on my line as "there were no ports on my exchange". Try to cancel that with Telkom callcenter...
As a last resort I tried Afrihost, as I knew they take over the line from Telkom if you use them as ISP. So basically I applied for my ADSL line through Afrihost (whoop whoop no more Telkom callcenter). Within 2 weeks my ADSL line was activated, I bought a bundled package from them, easily verified my account and BOOM, I have internet.
Well done Afrihost guys/gals, you should be proud. Telkom, you!
