Cell C broadband internet is dreadfull. I made the mistake of buying another 12 month 24gig prepaid data card eend of last year after my first one expired. This time round the service just degraded from below average to poor. No matter if I use the card in the standard white data stick or their wifi router device. The connections throughput is terrible. As we speak the wifi router reports a full strength 3G signal at -77db. RF speaking this is an excellent signal, yet there is no data throughput. Web sessions are just timeouts. MTN Edge is faster then the big C's supposed 3G.
I currently have a Cell C My Data contract as well with a first gen Samsung 7 inch tab. 4 months back the tablet OS went corrupt. Salesperson at local Cell C stores said it feels to her that the home and back keys feel worn out... I turned around and walked out as the OS was corrupt and the so called worn out buttons are actually touchscreen and software driven. Needles to say I won't be upgrading or renewing that contract.
