Hi. i applied for a personal on Sat 22 June at a bank only to be declined because of a R9112.00 listing on credit bureau from Vodacom. I was utterly shocked as i am not a Vodacom customer and never ever have been. The bank consultant then told me that i must get a letter from Vodacom stating that is the case and then they will remove that listing and i will qualify for my loan. I went to a Vodacom franchise in the same mall and they could not help me as i had to go to the customer service centre in another mall. But they did manage to tell me that 2 x cell phone contracts was taken on my name with all my personal details at a Cell u City in Galleria Mall, Amanzimtoti sometime last year!!! I was horrified. When i asked about the month which the contract was taken, they assume it was around August last year. Co-incidently, my Edgars card was cloned in August last year too. Anyway i went to Vodacom Customer care in Gateway only to be told i need an affidavit stating i'm not a Vodacom customer and i must send a copy of my ID with 3 signatures. I've done all of this & submitted on 25 June and depsite numerous calls & emails i still have not heard from Vodacom. I need help please!!!
