MTN has bad service. No surprise?

After 13 years with MTN.
Perhaps time to go with one of the other providers?
The fact is that they are good. Good prices, good products and good customer service. Everything MTN lacks.
Problem is the don't have proper coverage - also not one of MTN's strong points, but still.
So I upgrade through MTNSP again. I ordered online and a consultant phoned me back in 5 minutes. Good start.
Then everytime I try to contact the consultant to confirm the colour of the new phone she is busy and does not phone me back. I phoned three times at my own cost? Call from MTN to MTN for an upgrade is not free??
So spoke to another chap now, three days later - said he can't understand why it is still not finalized. I should have had my phone by now. Yip, that is the good (read: bad) service we expect from MTN.
So despite the fact that the order is delayed, I am going to be charged a R100 fee. Nothing on the website about that. Just FREE SIM AND DELIVERY!! So in stead of going to a shop, it costs me more to use MTN direct - Cellcalls, upgrade fee. Then also the bad and delayed service.

Should have gone with Cell-C.
Too late now, I guess. Ok, let's see in 2 years. But for everyone else. GO CELL-C.
