I have been receiving extremely slow ADSL speeds of late (>5 months, ever since the 'MTN' network came into effect). I've checked with my the ISP and there is no problem on their side, yet I've read numerous reports about the OLIVEDALE exchange being overloaded / over subscribed. This is the reason for my slow ADSL speeds. If I'm lucky, after 6pm (when I get home from work) I get > 15KB (kiloBYTES) - I can accept what I used to get which is > 150KB (kiloBYTES) but normally it's less than that at any given time. I would like to know what TELKOM are doing to rectify this. Are they going to upgrade the exchange? Will they offer me a faster service at NO expense? Will they even bother to come out and take a look and see for themselves the exchange is overloaded? Paying for a service you are NOT receiving gets very annoying very quickly! Fix it TELKOM! Don't give me some rubbish about it's being looked into!!! I've just told you what the problem is, so fix it PLEASE!
