I live in Sandton in a relatively new complex. The signal at my flat is so bad I can not even make phone calls. I cant even try and download anything. Initially when I complained Vodacom said they will investigate. They came back and said they understand the signal strength is very poor and are planning to build a mini base station in the are to fix the problem as this is a problem area for them. They also said they will keep me up to date. It has now been more than 4 months and nothing has changed. I have not received any update on the progress and it is very possible they simply say that they are planning a base station to get rid of me. My body corporate has agreed with a representative from Vodacom that the base station can be built on our complex grounds. Still nothing has happened from Vodacom's side. I don't understand why I have to pay for a contract if I can never make any phone calls?
