I upgraded my contract yesterday before 12noon. Vodacom states on their website that orders places before 12 noon will be delivered the following day.
My order was placed, reference number U503591
I received an sms shortly after that, that my order was on backorder. I contacted the upgrades department on 0821959, and I was told that the sms was an error as they have 1000s of the white Samsung Galaxy S4, and that I should receive my package today.
I called 0821959 this morning and spoke to Zanela enquiring about the status of my order. She firstly advised that the phone is on backorder because Vodacom does not have stock. I told her that when i enquired yesterday I was told that there was stock. She then put me on hold and came and said that she checked and they do have stock and she will check with the warehouse. She then came back and said that I will get my phone either today or tomorrow. Vodacom advertises that orders placed by 12noon will be delivered the next day.
This is unacceptable and bad advertising.
