I notified Vodacom via facebook that I have evidence that someone within Vodacom has indeed sold my information. I kept getting canned responses of "Vodacom does not sell information..." Even after providing evidence to the contrary. Read below to see what happened:
- My number for my tablet was activated around 2 March 2013
- On around 11 April 2013 I received my first spam sms
- I have never given this number to anyone
I enquired on the facebook page and was given the response that it must have been someone looking into my credit report who got my number.
Heres my case:
- On a credit report you can view who looked into your accounts. I viewed two different reports of mine from two different bureaus.
- No one except for Vodacom looked into my credit report up till this date 01/07/2013.
- Also, neither my cell numbers are listed on my credit report. Not one.
I would like Vodacom to respond:
- What is your response to the evidence I have provided? nothing.
-How does this warrant being blocked from your social media platform and without explanation or any indication that my concerns will be escalated?
