Vodacom
Unauthorised debit order date changes

Vodacom conveniently changed the date on which they will deduct their money from my account from my specified 1st of every month and decided to deduct the money on the 29th. I guess they did this because the 30th of June fell on a Sunday and they did this without consulting me first. They did the same thing on the 29th of May.
I specify this for a reason. I only get paid on the 28th of a month and cannot guarantee that my account will have funds available by the 29th or 30th of a month. This caused my bank to send me a sms stating my account is in excess and I should have the funds by 3PM. This was Saturday the 29th. I had to borrow money from family to prevent the debit order from returning unpaid, resulting in a penalty fee which Vodacom won't cover and to prevent Vodacom from giving me a bad credit rating due to non-payment.
How can you do this. It is unacceptable. If the specified date falls over a weekend or holiday, debit it later, not sooner. If you wish to make it sooner, contact your customers for approval as I can assure you my answer will always be no!
