I phoned MTN customer care a month ago and asked them to change my debit order from the 25th to the 7th. I spent half an hour on the phone changing the debit order date and checking details, etc. She said it had been done on the system and the next debit order would come off on 7 July. The debit order came off on the 25 June again even though it had been supposedly changed on the system. When phoning customer services to ask them why it had not been changed, I was just told that they dont know why and it was a system error!!! When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold for 10 minutes, only to be told that the supervisor couldnt speak to me because he was busy speaking to someone else, I'm sure he was!! So my question is how can money be taken off someones account on the wrong date when there could very possibly be no money in that account and noone can tell you why it was taken off on the wrong date??? Does this mean systems can do whatever they want with no explanations necessary???
