On 9 January, my ADSL went down. After a call to Telkom's call centre, a technician was dispatched. After an ENTIRE day fiddling around, nothing was fixed. Subsequently, the voice also went down, causing even more frustration. Between the call centres and the technicians, it looked like nothing was being done for over a week (and neither one seeming to understand the meaning of "communication"). After I finally managed to get my problem escalated, a wonderful technician by the name of Michael Dietrich came by, and solved within two days what every other technician on the job had been struggling with! Telkom needs more people like him, and I dearly hope he's well rewarded! Thank you, Michael! As for the other useless technicians, you could learn a lesson or four in service delivery from this gentleman!
