Threats to take me to the credit bureau

I had a phone contract with MTN from 2009 to 2011. When the contract expired, I was under the impression that there are no outstanding amounts until I received a call from an MTN agent threatening me that I will be blacklisted. I requested more information and a statement of evidence indicating how I happened to have arrears on this contract. This is because I had a debit order monthly and therefore do not understand why I have arrears.
