I had a 2 year cell phone contract with bayport which expired last month. I went into arrears with my account and made arrangements to pay the balance off. I also requested that my contract be cancelled as it has expired. I received a call from the collections department stating that they will not cancel the contract until my arrears is paid in full. This meaning every month I must pay my contract, arrears and interested. This is not legal and am consulting with an attorney and the ombudsman. This company thinks they can make there own rules up. I requested a statement and the team leader just put the phone down on me.
