I made an application for telephone lines for my medical consulting rooms in Parktown North. I was advised that this would receive priority and within 48 hours received an SMS stating the date on which technicians would come and install my lines. Advised to be at the premises with my ID document. On the morning of the planned installation I got a call from the technician confirming the address. Needless to say no-one arrived. Four days later I got another SMS stating the next planned installation date. Once again, no one turned up. When I called through I was advised that there was some or other technical issue. (This despite the fact that my colleague has two functioning lines in the same building). I was informed that the only recourse I have was to wait for the next SMS notification of installation and call in on that day and speak to the technician allocated to my installation to see whether or not he would come and install the line.
Is this seriously what you consider acceptable Telkom - in the meantime I cannot have my stationery printed, I cannot advertise my practice, I cannot start booking patient. Reference numbers 80210169 and 80205182
