It has become impossible to use 8ta 3G at certain times of the day. We've been with them for ages but using the 2gb 1 3G bundle these days is almost useless at certain times. It doesn't help to switch between 8ta sim cards (we have a few) or modems. Switching networks helps.
The problem appears to be ftp and web uploads. The speed drops to 200 bytes per second or slower, so most server uploads (even really small ones) timeout. And this is accessing South African servers with major service providers. Switching to any other network solves the problem so it's clearly 8ta. It's local traffic that seems to be a nightmare as well - there really is no excuse for that!
This ridiculous. It's getting worse and worse by the week! We've been told by other people that they are having the same problem.
