I received my new Galaxy S4 on Wednesday 12 June from Cell C Direct. The next day, I discovered a fault with the back and menu buttons. Seeing that the phone was brand new, I expected a speedy exchange from any Cell C outlet. But in typical Cell C style, I got told (after several dropped calls and very unfriendly and unhelpful call centre agents) that because it was ordered from Cell C Direct, I had to wait 7 days for the courier to collect. Then I'd have to wait another 2 to 3 weeks for the new phone, if they determined that is was indeed an out of box failure!
As a last resort I phoned the Tyger Valley Repair and Service Centre, not really expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised by the fast, friendly and very efficient service. Within 20 minutes my phone was tested and I walked out with a brand new replacement handset!
Two big thumbs up for Michelle and the staff at the Repair Centre. You Guys Rock! I just wish I could say the same of your Call Centre staff.
