I have struggled with data issues on Vodacom for 2 years. My connection is either extremely slow on Edge or completely down. All this time, I had been under the impression that it was my Blackberry and possibly a throttled BIS service that caused this. However, a couple weeks ago, I took up Vodacom's Red Advantage package for R999p/m and upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S4. It was bitterly disappointing to discover that I still experience the exact same problem. I am receiving 1gb free data which I cannot use. Vodacom claim there is too much capacity in my area and it can take up to 2 years to roll out new towers. Why should I pay R999 a month for an inferior product? I have a Cell-C sim on my tablet, which costs me a fraction of this price but always gives me lightning fast connection speeds. I want my contract to be cancelled with immediate effect.
