SIM SWOP TO MICRO SIM

On Saturday, 1st of June 2013, I renewed my contract and got the Galaxy S4 which requires an micro sim. Not having an micro sim, I paid a fee and was informed it takes 2 to 24hours for the micro sim to activate. Today is the 5 of June and my sim hasn't activated. I went back to the MTN store twice and have call 808 multiple times and have been told my inquiry has been moved to another department, who have noted my inquiry and have reactivated it again. This has been an horrible and tiring process of trying to find out why it's hasn't activated. It should be noted that the people I have had contact with have tried to help me (removing the sim for two hours) and assist as much as they have the authority to.

Why is this taking so long and why can no one give me an answer?
