Unblacklisting my phone

My phone was misplaced and I blacklisted my handset with MTN. a day later it was recovered. I then requested for the un-blacklisting. I was told to get proof that i am the owner of the phone and i went to the store where i purchased the phone they gave me the recipit and i was told to fax the document to the unblacklisting department and I did that on, and have be calling MTN everyday to get status of the un-blacklisting. The call center agents would promise to follow-up with support people and its been 3months and my phone is blocked and i decide to purchase another phone and get a new cellphone number because of this!
and I must say mtn has very rude agents who are unwilling to assit . disappointed
