Contract Upgrade activation too early

I called yesterday morning requesting an upgrade and the guy said the upgrade is approved and read me the standard Ts and Cs. He did not explain to me that my upgrade will be activated immediately and that i will loose everything i had. My understanding is that a contract starts when i receive the goods, sign for them and call you for activation. As this will take 5 to 10 and possibly more days (as you may not have stock) I knew I had enough time to enjoy the benefits of my current contract which I will still pay for. So i lost my airtime and smses. I want my airtime and sms back. I want them more than i want the upgrade, so If you need to cancel my upgrade do so without hesitation. Case number: 130531117868. I dont want to wait 24 hours. I want this dealt with immediately.
