SIM Swap FAIL

My galaxy S2 broke yesterday morning. I bought a new Galaxy S4 and went to my local MTN store to buy the micro sim (sim swap). After waiting in line for 40 minutes (the usual) I was helped and given a new sim. Now 23 hours later it still isn't active. I called mtn customer care (808) and they confirmed that the new sim had not been assigned to my account and I should call the store. I called the store and was told they'd get back to me. Over an hour later still nothing. I called back and was told they can only escalate it after 24 hours. I explained that the call center said it had definitely not been registered... So here I sit in the office next to my land line missing meetings because I have no mobile number for clients to contact me on. Thanks MTN. A suggestion for your store... rather than have your 2 staff members both help customers take sign up for new contracts, let one staff member be assigned to that and free the other one up for queries. Most of your customers that visit your store have a 2 minute question yet they're forced to wait at least 30 minutes in line while you greedily sign up new customers.
