I am trying to sign up for the R99 2 gig Internet package from Cell C. My ID book was so when the lady from the Midrand branch told me she couldn't help me, I told her I would go home and fetch my mother to put the contract in her name. So I go all the way home, all the way back and fill out ten pages of application forms before the same lady tells me my Mom can't apply because she is a pensioner! So I go to the police station to have my birth certificate certified then all the way to Home Affairs to apply for a new ID and Cell C STILL won't accept all of this paperwork.. They won't take my birth certificate, my drivers license, or proof from Home Affairs that I have applied for a new ID and that I do exist! I understand that there are rules but sometimes a little compassion might be called for. PS. Vodacom accepts a drivers license as a form of identification. I guess it is better to get a contract with Vodacom
