Vodacom
Data account in the amount of R24 000

I have had the Vodacom account for many years without any problems.

I have been trying since I received my March account to get to the bottom of the problem with an excessive bill, but have been referred back and forth by all Vodacom departments. I waI have visited the Vodacom shop where the Samsung Galaxy tablet was obtained from as part of my upgrade, to no avail. My account was never in excess of R250 per month for the data account being queried. A mail from the data department indicated that 17gig was used for updates for the Samsung OTA update. This device was obtained from the Vodacom Shop in Festival Mall in Kempton Park. I was not advised by Vodacom that this tablet could result in very high data usage, I was not concerned as I only had a 1 gig contract and it always warned me when the limit was reached. I was unaware of the data being used as the upgrade device did not warn me as usual when the 1 gig was reached.

I cannot afford to pay R20 694.61 for this account. I was advised by Vodacom that many consumers have complaints with excessive data due to the Samsung Tablet and the latest Blakberry phone updates
