Unaware of excessive DATA Charges

I am sad to say but another member of the public has been duped into making Vodacom into a highly profitable company. I recently purchased a S3 Samsung phone and got a wonderful bill 5 x my normal bill due to data usage. No sms was sent to say my bill is now double my normal bill. No one told me to switch off automatic updates and the sync function on the phone when I bought it. I now sit with a huge bill and Vodacom just shrug there shoulders.
