Telkom escalations not responding in due time

I have sent the below complaint one week ago, Telkom needs more than a week to sort this out/respond? What is so complicated about discontinue a cell phone contract at the end of its 2 years contract time?!

I would like to cancel my my 2 year cellphone contract with Telkom closer 2 at the end of the 2 years in September 2013.
In order to start the process in time, I went to my local Telkom-View branch a couple of weeks ago, Had to deal with 2 Telkom employees. The first lady was simply clueless, provided me with conflicting information. Both were unable to provide me with succinct information for period of notice and required steps to cancel the cellphone contract. After almost 2 hours I was told to contact Telkom escalations via email. 3 emails later from me in the last 2 week still no reply whatsoever from Telkom.
How can a simple cancellation be so cumbersome and complicated?
Not impressed with that kind of service-attitude!
