MICRO SIM SWOP NOT ACTIVATED

I obtained a Micro Sim for my new Samsung. As usual the store tells you blab la bla and are more interested to take the telephone call and interrupt your service. I made sure I understood the instructions, delays, obstacles and timelines. My signal was deactivated on the old sim at about 17h00. I switched all phones off and after an hour entered the new micro sim in the new phone. NOTHING, no network, etc. This is 2am in the morning and I have been calling since 21h00 and had about six calls. Some ask security, some not and then I am told try this then that. After I had to confirm my balance and when I last added a bundle (I have no idea as this is done for me and how am I made aware on a running balance). ANYWAY THEY REFUSED TO HELP AS the computer say... Anyway let us do the last two calls. I am told find setting, available networks and select Vodacom SA but then after searching says "sim does not connect to the network". I call again and the latest fella says but have I registered via 100# or something. I say I was told this method and then he says but am I doing a network change (I forget the actual word used). I say this was done months ago. But still no sim swop.
