LTE Phones and LTE Signal Problems

I am really disappointed in the Vodacom network as of late. Everywhere in Gauteng you see Vodacom advertising their new LTE service.
I have gotten a Samsung S3 LTE phone from my insurance after my old Samsung S3 was.
I was extremely happy that I got upgraded to the LTE version free of charge. But that was very short lived after a day of using the new phone. The LTE network is horrendously unreliable. The vodashop in Brooklyn mall in Pretoria told me that vodacom is aware of this and that in the meantime I should disable LTE on my phone and account.
I did this and my problems got even worse. On the wcdma network my phone kept cutting calls, losing signal and pretty much I was on the air for less than 30% of any given day.
Now that same shop in Brooklyn Mall has told me that the phones only work correctly on the gsm network.
Now this peeves me of greatly as I have the latest in smart phone tech and it only opperates on the slowest network on the vodacom network!!! This is just plain unexeptable. Why do they sell these phones? Why is their network so unreliable? And why does it take 2 weeks for the shop to admit there is problems after telling me after lie?
