I have logged 3 complaints relating to the same matter:
I bought an 8 ta prepaid package (60 60gig for R1800) in early feb. I had confirmed that my area had coverage. I bought the sim and tried it. Didnt work at all. The speed is around 20kbps and pages take 2-3minutes to load. I have an MTN and a Vodacom data package also, and the speed is excellent.
8ta service has not improved since then even though several promises that it would.
I logged a complaint with 8ta the next day after i signed up. I have made 3 calls to the data dept since then and no assistance, just promises. I am still waiting for someone to call me.
They eventually logged a request for a refund a 6 weeks ago. I logged a complaint on this site and social media contacted me. Eventually it was agreed (by Mokhwaethe) that I will be refunded. I waited another week. No refund. I e-mail the social media team and they read and dont respond. Then after my 3rd e-mail a guy by the name of Freedom responds. He informs me that Mokhwaethe is not available and i should advise him of the reference no. I dont have one. Why cant someone help me to completion! Do i need to go through this whole episode again???
