MTN fails to clear recycled numbe

After buying a new sim card from MTN in December 2012, my airtime started mysteriously disappearing. Employees at George Mall branch were useless, until I went back the third time, when Anele finally showed me the record of my number - it is a recycled number and the person who used it before me subscribed to two different kinds of subscription services, for which he did not pay (please note this is all on record). MTN failed to clear the number of previous subscriptions, so when I started using the number, I lost a whopping R180 to mysterious deductions by the subscription service providers, who had no idea the number had been re-issued. I have been back to the MTN shop repeatedly, and even e-mailed them, but I have gotten no response at all. MTN should have cleared that number before giving it to me. I want my money back, or I will open a case against MTN with the SAPS. My money has been and MTN must take responsibility for it, since it is their responsibility to clear all numbers before re-issuing them. I want a refund!!!
