The mannerism in which I've been treated by Vodacom Repairs Century City & Vodasure is appalling. In 2010 I upgraded to BB 9700 & took out comprehensive insurance with Vodasure at R119.00 pm & covered between R5001-R7000 which is a complete rip off. Dec 2012 after my phone crashed I had it tested at Vodacom outlet & was told its not the battery. I then had my phone tested by Berry Buddies Canal Walk who confirmed it was a malfunction & the hard drive had packed up as they receive no response while trying to connect my phone to their computer & informed me it was impossible to retrieve my data. I took my phone to Vodacom Repairs Century City Job Number 8456949 who told me my phone would be sent to JHB for repairs. On 14/01/2013 I recieved a msg my handset was ready for collection. I spoke to Jeanne van der Meer their workshop manager who informed me my phone had been replaced with a refurbished unit & the claim was approved by Vodasure for R2050.00. She was rude & abrupt when I mentioned I paid Insurance for almost 3yrs & believed I'm entitled to claim for a new phone & refused to accept a refurbished unit. I believe my only alternative is to take the matter to the Consumer Council.
