Cell-phone Softlocked - Account up to date

I have a 1 000 top up with Vodacom where they give me R1 000 airtime per month and I pay them regularly for the service.

I got a message that my phone was softlocked (cannot use data of make calls or send messages but can received text messages and phone calls) due to my account being in arrears; I subsequently got the details of where I can make an EFT and I was told to pay it to Vodacom (Pty) Ltd who is a public recipient on all banking websites. I did just that and when i called to confirm all the details I was told that My account would be unlocked within 6 hours.

I waited til morning (as I made the payment at 9pm at night) and my phone was STILL not unlocked. I contacted the accounts department who confirmed that I the payment has reflected on my account and they will unlock it immediately. They did so and I was active again.

HOWEVER... hours later I received yet ANOTHER notification that my account was soft-locked; this is apparently due to a credit limit which I was told would NOT affect me with having a top up contract.

I am frustrated as now I am paying for a service which I am NOT receiving! My account is up date and they are the agent I spoke to was very rude!
