About 2 months ago, i purchased and activated a MTN 24 hour loyalty points data bundle. I proceeded to make use of this bundle and downloaded content off the internet. The following morning i checked my unbilled balance and found an excess charge of over R3000. I phoned MTN SP query this, thinking it would be dealt with sorted out immediately however, i was wrong. I called MTN SP everyday from then on for 3 weeks and no one could help me and when i asked to speak to their supervisor, i was continually told they do not want to speak to me. I then received my invoice and i was charged for this data usage. I refused to pay and was then cut from my services. I had to pay the amount as i run a business off my phone and i am still at the moment battling from day to day to keep up on monthly living as this excess of R3000 set me back. I have been to service centres, i have emailed Wendy Knowler at ECR and now i am trying Hello Peter. I feel this is unfair, however i also believe MTN are taking advantage of customers and their Loyalty Point purchases as after reading up about MTN, i have come to learn that there are lots of people in the same situation that i am in.
