Misrepresentation and no feedback

I joined the Virgin Active branch 2 weeks ago after seeing a sales representative. On enquiring several times about whether our two children (3 years and the other 5 months of age) will have free access to Club V (the children's play area and babysitting) on the membership contract offered to me I agreed to sign up. On hearing about this my wife went the following day and also signed up after also enquiring specifically about this benefit during the tour of the facility and of Club V. As a result she also took out a contract. On Saturday we attended the gym and were informed to our surprise and disappointment that Club V requires a further R100/month fee for each child. This benefit was one of the main reasons the sales persons used to convince us to join as members.

So either the sales people were misinformed or purposively misrepresented the situation to us to get us to sign a contract.

We were told to take the matter up with the manager and left our details for her to contact us. After several emails and phone calls since then I had one brief conversation with Benita where she assured me of a reply on the query by Wednesday morning. Up until now there has been no word.
