I have been a loyal Virgin Active member for years now and they have NEVER increased their prices by a whopping 40%. It's totally ridiculous it's more than 6 times the current inflation rate!
I'm making use of the premier membership for those odd times when I want to gym out of town or when it's just easier to go to another club. I would say that I make use of this 5-10 times a year. If I were to switch to the one club option I'd have to pay a fee every time I wanted to gym at another club and not to mention the inconvenience!
I called Virgin Active on Tuesday and they promised they would call me back... have not heard a peep since then. It seems to me VA would rather lose out on R133 a month for a member that uses the benefit maybe 10 times a year than be accommodating.
I'm disgusted in the greediness that is being displayed and the utter disregard to members.
