Beware of planet fitness. I have learnt from my mistake and would like to warn others!
1. There is a reason why Planet Fitness has cheaper rates than other gyms. They might aswell not have classes - that is how lousy their classes are.
2. Most inconveniently located and ALWAYS under construction
3. When I wanted to terminate my contract - due to moving to another province (Planet fitness is only available in Gauteng) I was told that I am not allowed to and would have to keep paying - regardless.
4. Last time I went to PF in Rivonia - my tag was faulty and reception could not assist. After having to wait for a supervisor for 10 minutes, to get off her phone, I subsequently missed the class that I wanted to attend, and was told I couldn't be found on the system. My contract had NOT yet expired. Eventually, I myself had to suggest they enter my ID number into the system, after which I was easily found on the system.
5. Upon my decision to give my month's notice to cancel my contract, I was refused a new tag - even though I still had a MONTH left before termination.
6. Two weeks later I still have not received confirmation of cancellation of my membership.
what a hole!
