After reading my contact, I realised I had to give 1 calendar month's notice. My resignation was tendered on the 16 August to become final at the end of September 2013 - this was 6 weeks notice.
At the beginning of October 2013 another R195-00 was taken out of my account and when I requested a refund, I was told this was declined as I had rejoined as a Liberty Life policyholder.
So Planet Fitness was paid twice in that month - once by taking an extra month's premium and once by Liberty Life.
This is totally unacceptable, but the accounts management at Planet Fitness leaves much to be desired.
