Firstly I want to express my immense frustration in getting hold of the "salesperson" I spoke to, when I DECLINED her offer to gym with Planet fitness. I recently applied for an EDGARS account. The accounts clerk of EDGARS made me aware of an offer of R49/pm to Gym at planet fitness which I respectfully declined.
I was contacted afterwards by a sales representative from planet fitness (I presume from the Montana branch), with contact number: 078 386 3619. I once again DECLINED the very same offer presented to me.
At the beginning of January 2013 I received an SMS from EDGARS notifying me that a payment of R524.00 was due, I could not understand this amount, so I proceeded in querying this fact.
As it turns out PLANET FITNESS deducted an amount of R2500 from my EDGARS account towards gym membership. WHICH I DECLINED TWICE PREVIOUSLY.
My existing account reflects negatively at Edgars due to this ridiculous transaction of Planet Fitness.
After trying to contact them numerous times, the only response I receive is automated and the call centres are not in operation anymore, so it is IMPOSSIBLE to get feedback,
Your assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
