This is not so much a complaint as a plea. I am aware that it is the beginning of the year, and so the clubs nationwide are a bit busier than usual, but yesterday, I had to wait 25 minutes before I got the opportunity to get in the pool, and I had to share a lane with 3 other people. Now if it was just busy, I wouldn't have minded, and would have cursed my bad luck for picking a busy time. However, there were 2 lanes being taken up by a swimming school, and this was after 5pm. I do not feel the swimming classes should be allowed to take place after 4.30pm in the afternoon, especially when it impacts negatively on people who come to the gym after work specifically to swim (as I do). I had this thought last year where the school had taken up 3 lanes (of a 5 lane pool), leaving everyone else having to share with several other swimmers/wait a long time for a lane (almost as long as the workout itself). I believe it is the same story with the morning sessions, although I do not attend them myself. Please can I ask that some restrictions are put in place, like only 1 lane after 4.30pm for the swimming school. I did try raise this with the manager but he was not in yesterday.
